Who we are
GentBit Inc. is a software development company based in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada: 2363 rue Belvedere Sud, Sherbrooke QC J1H 0L9.

Information we collect
What you send us through the contact form:
- Name and email address
- Company name, estimated budget and timeline (optional)
- Project description
Only if you accept it in the consent banner: browsing data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate region), collected by Google Analytics.
Technical data needed to run and secure the site, such as your IP address, is also processed by our host and by Cloudflare.
How we use your information
Contact form information is used only to answer your request and, where relevant, to send you a proposal. Audience measurement data is used to improve the site. Nothing is used for advertising, commercial profiling or resale.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are kept for up to 2 years from receipt, then deleted. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Cookies
Audience measurement cookies stay off until you accept them. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Your language choice and consent choice are also stored in your browser's local storage.
If you use the budget estimator, your answers stay in your browser for the session so they can be added to your message. They only reach us if you send the contact form.
Service providers and transfers outside Québec
Your information is never sold or rented. We rely on the following providers, some of which process data outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States:
- GoDaddy: website hosting
- Cloudflare: content delivery, security and form bot check (Turnstile)
- Google: Google Analytics, only if you accept it
- Our email provider, for message delivery
Your rights
Under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's PIPEDA, you can:
- access the information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct inaccurate information
- ask us to delete your information
- withdraw your consent at any time

Security
We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
